Weekend stuff And All that Jazz...

General Conference of our Church was this weekend- and so we decided to spend some time up at the farm, a.k.a. my parents house, which is basically a mid century style ranch located on 5 acres of woods and land. Complete with large RED barn on the premises, horses at many of our neighbors, and my dad's favorite toy- a large farmer-like John Deere Tractor. It is truly my kids and hubby's get-a-way from the "Oh-so-urban" life we live. (haha, not really, unless if you consider us living in "TOWN" versus out in the country then I guess we are urban) The fun thing about General Conference weekend is we get to watch it televised live- (and huge on the wall in the family room downstairs!) and so we don't actually attend church that weekend. We hang out with our family and have yummy food and relax. It's great.

The conference really was moving and wonderful, so filled with messages of faith and hope and reminders of things we can do to make our families better and more happy. I LOVED it! It was also the FIRST weekend of truly spring like weather we've had yet. So we ate outside, listened to conference outside, and pretty much tried to soak up every last iota of Vitamin D that we could. There's a tire swing and a giant wood swing that Dane was having a blast on.

In the early evening they all went to a local nature preserve to take a walk. I, unfortunately, stayed home and rested on the sofa as my tummy was just too tight for any long walks.
Pretty lil poser.
And last- I snapped this pic at home - Lena and Dane's kittens (pearly and squirrelly) are getting so big- but they were sleeping in this adorable hug position!! How cute is that??
